For all traders, XTB uses a leverage of 1:30. This complies with the rules established by the regulator by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). However, there are exceptions to this rule. Members of a “chosen professional” club can take advantage of a maximum leverage of 1:200 despite very tough conditions. Traders are required to complete ten transactions per quarter or have an account of more than €500,000. In addition, they must prove that they have worked as a financial expert for more than one year. It is noteworthy that the actions of traders who are members of this club do not comply with some FCA conditions.

CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. Between 74-89% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs. You should consider whether you understand how CFDs work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money.
